Job Title:
Quality CMS Operator and Programmer Job Description This role involves operating and programming CMS systems, focusing on quality requirements and standards for the development and manufacture of products. Following an initial training period, the position may transition to a 2nd or 3rd shift. Responsibilities Operate a Laser Scanner to perform optical CMS inspections and create reports aligned with engineering drawings and CATIA. Incorporate CMS report data into Form 3 of First Article inspection. Maintain inspection equipment and coordinate with quality, engineering, and manufacturing teams on part inspection plans. Facilitate training and provide guidance for quality personnel. Perform quality tasks such as First Articles and Final Product Review, supporting production to reduce internal scrap through analysis methods. Read and interpret 2D drawings specific to aerospace, understanding AS9100, AS9102, and Boeing D6 standards. Demonstrate proficiency in Y14.5 GD&T and inspection hand tools. Promote and execute quality values, inspection processes, quality plans, documents, and reports. Essential Skills 4 years of Aerospace Quality Assurance experience in a build-to-spec manufacturing environment. 4 years of CMS programming experience, preferably with Laser Scanner and CMM. Experience with 2D modeling (CATIA V5 orSOLIDWORKS
) and Polyworks. Fluency in Y14.5 GD&T and Y14.41 (DPD). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in using inspection hand tools, gauges, and surface plate work. Additional Skills & Qualifications Knowledge of Boeing documents. Experience with CMS software such as Polyworks, CMM Manager, Verisurf, or PC DMS. Ability and motivation to study and learn independently. Patience and the desire to impart knowledge to others. Our client is AS-9100 and AS-9102 certified, working with various materials including organic rubber, silicone compounds, and more. The work environment includes a focus on high-quality production standards and innovative technology use. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Auburn, WA.
