Job Description

Primary Function:
Conduct pre-operational inspections; in-process testing and sampling of every stage of the manufacturing process to ensure specifications are met. Ensure high quality of production process and finished product.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 9:00 AM to 5:30
PM Responsibilities and Duties:
This information is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. Team member may perform other duties as assigned. Conduct pre-operational inspections and monitor sanitation procedures Conduct inspections throughout both plants on two-hour cycles to monitor production processes within required environmental controls Thoroughly documents inspection results in a timely manner and notifies supervisor(s) of all compliance concerns Audit and monitor the compliance to the GMP standards and record and report all deviations to the Quality Assurance Manager Monitor pest control devices weekly Report defective screen, machinery and materials to responsible parties Be a part of the Food Safety Team to conduct monthly sanitation inspections at both plants Assist with QA and Regulatory projects as needed
Qualifications:
1-2 years of Quality Control/Quality Assurance experience in a food manufacturing capacity preferred. General knowledge regarding food safety, GFSI, HAACP, AIB, FDA, Kosher, and Federal, State and local regulations governing food products is required. Certifications or training in any of the above desirable. Must possess knowledge of Quality Control practices and procedures within a manufacturing environment. Meticulous attention to detail; well organized and able to apply logic to a variety of situations to solve complex problems. Records maintenance skills. Color acuity necessary. Self-starter requires minimal directives. Proactive problem-solver. Strong interpersonal skills and a team attitude.
Physical Activities:
Requires mobility. Physical setting may be in office, plant, or warehouse. Requires telephone communication skills, basic math skills, basic reading and writing skills. Requires ability to see and distinguish fine differentiation in color, detail, and design. Office and manufacturing floor setting. Involves sitting, standing, walking, and communication abilities. The environment may be loud at times. May be subject to temperature changes. Use of standard office equipment.
