This role is critical to ensuring manufactured parts conform to engineering drawings, customer specifications, and internal quality standards. A successful candidate will be comfortable working with precision measuring equipment, interpreting highly detailed engineering drawings, and developing practical manual inspection methods when standard approaches are not sufficient. Key Responsibilities Perform dimensional inspection of aerospace components to verify conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements Inspect small, complex, and tight-tolerance parts using manual and automated measurement equipment Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing requirements Use precision measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, indicators, height gauges, comparators, and related equipment Operate and/or program CMMs and vision measurement systems to support dimensional verification Develop and apply manual inspection methods for features that are difficult to measure through conventional means Accurately document inspection results, nonconformances, and supporting data in a timely manner Work closely with machinists, manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to verify parts are produced to print Support root cause investigation and problem-solving related to dimensional discrepancies or quality concerns Maintain inspection records and ensure compliance with internal procedures and aerospace quality standards Prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while meeting production and quality deadlines
Basic Qualifications:
Previous machining experience, particularly someone transitioning from hands-on machining into inspection, or Deep expertise in GD&T, dimensional analysis, and complex measurement methodologies 4/10 Schedule - 2nd Shift
