The position ofQC RESEARCH TECHNICIAN I
will, under the supervision of the Lead QC Chemist or Manager, implement routine quality control procedures on raw materials, intermediate materials, and final products. The candidate must be able to complete work in a timely manner with limited guidance.Essential Duties:
QC of production products and packaging QC of new raw materials for purity & chemical integrity prior to production use Troubleshooting/assisting as quality issues arise with current products Stability studies of current or future products QC/QA-related data recording and entry Prepare various production attractant formulas Other Duties & Responsibilities Generate and analyze reports as needed. Willingness to cross train in other areas as required. Abide by company policies and exemplify Sterling International's core values of tenacity, integrity, compassion, and entrepreneurial spirit. Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, ecology, environmental science, or similar field and one year of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have the desire and ability to work effectively as both a QC Technician and as a member of the R&D team. Must be able to communicate effectively in English both written and verbal. Must be able to pass a preemployment drug screen and background check.Key Competencies:
Must possess excellent attention to detail, good documentation skills, and demonstrated ability to operate and care for laboratory equipment. Strong computer literacy and advanced MS Office skills.Work Environment & Physical Demands:
The work environment is a laboratory setting with majority (50-65%) desk-/computer-based duties with daily standing and walking. The employee is also exposed to a manufacturing environment and must be able to wear personal safety apparel (e.g., safety goggles, ear plugs, face masks or respirators [for some tasks], etc.).
