Job Description
Composites Technician is responsible for the fabrication, assembly, and inspection of composite components within a manufacturing cell environment. This role supports production schedules by performing hands-on composite layup, bonding, curing, and finishing operations in accordance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. Perform composite layup using prepreg, wet layup, or dry fiber materials Cut, kit, and stage composite materials per work instructions Operate curing equipment such as autoclaves, ovens, and heat blankets Perform vacuum bagging, debulking, and bonding operations Trim, drill, sand, and finish composite parts to specification Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and specifications Conduct in-process and final inspections to ensure quality compliance Document work performed in manufacturing records and quality systems Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow all safety, environmental, and FOD control procedures Support continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing cell Collaborate with engineers, quality, and production leadership to resolve issues
