Pacific Aerospace & Electronics (PacAero) is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our team! PacAero is primarily located in Wenatchee, WA with a remote manufacturing site, Bonded Metals, located in Sequim, WA. Working together, we employ proprietary technologies, best practices engineering, and specialized manufacturing techniques to produce hermetic connectors and electronic packaging that perform in the world's most extreme environments. PacAero's products are hard at work in medical components, such as cardiac-function devices, on key aerospace & defense programs, in space and deep below the earth's surface.
The Position:
Job Summary The Level I QC Technician is a reliable contributor responsible for performing dimensional/visual in-process, receiving, and final inspection of product to verify internal and customer quality requirements. This role requires a basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), knowledge of industry standard inspection methods, and the ability to use basic inspection tools & equipment. The Level I QC Technician performs basic to intermediate inspections while maintaining acceptable efficiency levels & quality standards. Adherence to safety policies, company procedures, and strong attention to detail are essential.
Schedule:
Depending on previous experience, may train Monday-Friday, day shift 5:00am-3:30pm for a minimum of 2 weeks or up to 3 months before switching to the Weekend Night shift: Friday through Sunday 5:00pm to 6:00am (earlier leave time if waiving 2nd lunch); Includes a $4/hr Shift premium. Includes 4 stock hours to round up to a 40-hour work week. Primary Responsibilities Work cooperatively with all employees. Willingness to adapt work schedule to company needs. Consistently at work and on time. Following company handbook policy and companies cell phone policy. Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned. Observe safety regulations and follow protective equipment requirements. Report hazardous observations to your lead or supervisor. Comprehend and follow all parts handling requirements. Level I QC Technician Responsibilities In-process dimensional and visual inspection of machined components. Communicating in-process inspection results to machinists. Final dimensional inspection of finished product. Recording measurement results on inspection reports. Inspection of incoming raw material and components. Inspection of pre-plate housings. Inspection using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, gage pins, thread gages, gage blocks, profilometers, surface comparators, etc. Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and
Vision Systems:
Introductory/working skills. Follow daily clean up and housekeeping procedures. Comply with all quality, safety, and work-related rules and regulations.
Introductory/working skills:
Basic introduction/training to specific inspection equipment. Able to operate inspection equipment that has been pre-programmed.

Strong independent thinking with the ability to identify problems and provide solutions. Education/Previous Experience Requirements High School graduate or equivalent. Previous experience preferred but not required.
Work Environment Noise:
The machine shop can often be a loud environment with constant noise from equipment that may require mandatory hearing protection.
Safety hazards:
Can be exposed to inherent risks from powerful, high-speed equipment, including moving parts and sharp tools. Safety protocols are critical to prevent injuries.
Contaminants:
The work involves exposure to airborne particles like metal dust, coolant mist, and chemical fumes, necessitating adequate ventilation and protective measures to minimize health risks when on the shop floor.
Protective gear:
Personal protective equipment (PPE) is a requirement for safety. This includes safety glasses and hearing protection as required on the shop floor.
Shift work:
Must be flexible to work any of the following shifts: M-Th 5am-3:30pm, M-Th 3:15pm-1:45am, Fri-Sun 5am-6pm, and Fri-Sun 5pm-6am.
Physical Requirements:
Standing/Sitting:
Long hours in a chair or on their feet at a computer.
Lifting:
The job can require lifting and moving heavy parts or raw materials. Some roles may involve moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds when on the shop floor.
Manual dexterity:
Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination are necessary for manipulating tools and performing precise measurements.
Repetitive motion:
Many tasks, such as loading and unloading workpieces, deburring parts, inspecting parts, are repetitive and can potentially lead to musculoskeletal issues over time.
Precision and vision:
Must have excellent close-up vision, depth perception, and the ability to distinguish colors to accurately read blueprints, inspect finished products, and use measuring instruments.
Stamina:
