Quality Assurance Technician Location:
Wiskerchen Cheese Schedule:
Full-time (40 hrs/week), 5:00 AM - 2:30 PM with every other Friday as a half-day About Us At Wiskerchen Cheese, we take pride in producing premium cheese products with a strong commitment to safety, consistency, and quality. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented QA Tech to join our team. Previous laboratory experience OR hands-on experience in a food manufacturing environment is required. Candidates must have experience in at least one of these areas to be considered.
Duties:
Perform routine lab tests on cheese, ingredients, and finished products (e.g., pH, moisture, fat, and microbiological tests). Collect, prepare, and label product samples accurately. Record and report test results with precision and attention to detail. Support production by monitoring quality checks on the floor. Assist in maintaining compliance with HACCP, SQF, FDA, and other food safety standards . Communicate quality issues or deviations promptly to the Quality team. Maintain lab equipment, ensure calibration, and keep the lab organized and clean.
Requirements:
Proven experience in quality control lab technician, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment. Knowledge of food safety principles (HACCP, SQF, FDA) a plus. Strong attention to detail and excellent record-keeping skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
