Job Description

Position Overview:
Quality Inspector, or QA Inspector, duties include checking production units to ensure they are built to customer requirements and built to company quality expectations. The QA Inspector would also need to measure and inspect Purchased and Manufactured parts to identify defects and be sure they meet Engineering drawing specifications.
Hours:
Monday - Friday, 6:30am - 3pm
What You'll Do:
Establishing and promoting quality standards for products provided to and produced by Federal Industries Reading blueprints and specifications to ensure that product meet quality standards Recommending any necessary adjustments and changes to production processes Performing incoming, in-process, and finished good inspections Using gauges such as calipers and micrometers to measure products Containing supplied and WIP products that don't meet production standards and recommending strategies to improve product quality Accepting or rejecting finished products and discussing inspection results with the production team Processing nonconformance tickets, Discrepant Material Reports, and Returned Material Authorizations via Kinetic ERP Working with production supervisors on improving/updating quality control measures, internal quality procedures and product excellence Summarize and publish daily inspection reports and monthly quality/audit metrics Work on projects related to improving quality and operations Other duties as assigned
What You'll Bring:
High School Diploma, at least 18 years of age Analytical and problem-solving skills Attention to detail Technical skills and ability to understand blueprints, documents, and manuals Knowledge of basic math and computer skills Ability to influence others to follow rules and regulations Strong leadership skills and teamwork mentality Verbal and written communication skills Dexterity, physical strength, and physical stamina
Working Conditions:
The Quality Inspector primarily works in a manufacturing environment, however, may occasionally be required to perform duties in a warehouse or office setting. Proper safety training and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided. Pay:
$23.00 - $27.00 per hour
