Do you enjoy science and hands-on technical work but want something more varied than a traditional laboratory setting? Joy-Mark is looking for a Quality Technician to support quality and safety in our manufacturing operation. This is a hands-on role where you will move between quality/lab work and the production floor, testing and inspecting materials, measuring products, reviewing production processes, helping troubleshoot quality issues as they occur, and serving as a backup to Shipping & Receiving. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7a-3p. The pay range is $19-$22/hour.
Responsibilities:
Inspect incoming raw materials, in-process production, and finished products for conformance to quality standards Perform routine quality and laboratory testing Measure products using rulers, calipers, gauges, meters, and other inspection equipment Monitor production processes and work with production employees to identify and resolve quality concerns Collect, record, and compile statistical process control (SPC) and other quality data Maintain accurate quality, testing, and safety records Document internal audits and support quality and safety programs Assist with investigating quality issues and documenting corrective actions Help develop, review, and update quality procedures and work instructions Follow all health, safety, and quality requirements
Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail and an interest in science, testing, and problem-solving Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Comfortable working both independently and closely with production employees and supervisors Good verbal and written communication skills Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based recordkeeping Previous laboratory, pharmaceutical, quality-control, manufacturing, or technical experience is helpful but not required Ability to learn testing procedures, measurement equipment, and manufacturing processes through on-the-job training Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout a manufacturing facility for extended periods
Pay:
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
