An Electronic and Electrical Tester inspects and evaluates products according to company quality control standards. Performs electrical functionality testing.
Position Summary Responsible for the assembly, wiring, and testing of low- and medium-voltage switchgear in accordance with engineering drawings, schematics, and company quality standards. Requires strong electrical aptitude and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities Assembly & wiring — Assemble and wire switchgear, control panels, and power distribution equipment per electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs. Perform point-to-point wiring, cable routing, labeling, and dressing to company and industry standards. Testing & verification — Verify wiring accuracy against schematics prior to inspection and test. Assist with power-up and troubleshooting; correct wiring discrepancies and rework as required. Quality & documentation — Complete production documentation, checklists, and inspection records accurately and on time. Support in-process, final, and customer inspections, and ISO audits. Troubleshooting — Identify wiring errors, component issues, and installation problems and take corrective action. Provide feedback to engineering on drawing discrepancies. Safety & compliance — Follow electrical safety practices, lockout/tagout procedures, and PPE requirements. Maintain a clean, organized work area and support OSHA, UL, and ISO requirements. Continuous improvement — Participate in production floor improvement initiatives and support training and mentoring of junior wiremen as needed. Qualifications 1+ years of electrical wiring, panel building, or switchgear assembly experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings. Basic understanding of electrical theory, wiring methods, and component identification. Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Strong communication skills and the ability to work in cross-functional teams. Preferred Skills Experience with low- and medium-voltage switchgear or control panel wiring. Familiarity with NEC, UL 508A, or similar electrical standards. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work from detailed work instructions.
