Bring your attention to detail, computer skills, and material handling experience and join our team as a Materials and Receiving Coordinator to support our fabrication shop. Description This role is responsible for the efficient and safe flow of materials to support production. Partnering with the shop manager and foremen, you will accurately record and safely handle and store materials and completed structures. Unload trucks and inspect incoming shipments for damage and accuracy. Document and record all received materials in ERP system. Label and store materials in their designated locations. Maintain accurate records of stock items and raw materials. Partner with shop foremen to manage storage space and optimize organization. Coordinate material flow between storage, fabrication, and field based on project schedules. Create shipping documents and ensure all shipments are properly labeled and recorded within the system. Load flat-bed trucks safely and efficiently with large, often non uniform components. Communicate with production teams and other internal departments about material availability and order status. Alert teams, as needed, of potential issues. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Responsible for outside yard and proper storage of raw materials and finished goods. Education and/or Experience Requirements Strong organizational and time-management skills in addition to solid mechanical aptitude. Comfortable interacting with computer systems (e.g. reading schedules, inputting data, using email, and ERP) Forklift Certification required Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and interpret written and verbal instructions. HS Diploma or Equivalent CDL Strongly Preferred Experience with various steel types a significant plus. Work Environment Work will be performed in outside yard and within our shop, first shift. There is opportunity to work overtime. Team members will need to climb, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and work in a variety of uncontrolled climate conditions throughout the day. Ability to work with small parts, hand tools, and interpret written and verbal instructions is required. Requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a consistent basis.
