Full Job Description Position Title:
Quality Assurance Tech Wage:
$22.25/hour

2nd
Hours:
2:30pm - 11:00pm (Monday - Friday with the possibility of working Saturday or Sunday) Join our 2nd shift team in Madison, WI and play a key role in maintaining food quality and safety. If you're bilingual in English and Spanish, detail-oriented, and proactive, don't miss this opportunity and apply today!
Responsibilities:
Perform pre-operational inspections (Pre-Run) Verify proper cleaning and sanitation of production lines Conduct in-process inspections hourly or as required Perform End of Run procedures Monitor inclusions and raw materials during production Verify product weight, fill height, and cutting quality Perform sensory evaluations (taste tests) Ensure proper sealing and packaging Verify correct code dates and packaging materials (including allergens on packaging) Monitor line and inclusion temperatures Perform pH and overrun testing when required Check and adjust metal detectors and X-ray equipment Confirm allergen testing has been completed when required Verify scales and critical equipment Monitor compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) Complete daily documentation (GMP logs, calibrations, test records) in a timely manner Fill out hourly inspection reports Take verification photos and videos when required Collect and manage retention and customer samples
Requirements:
Strong math and computer aptitude High School Diploma Able to stand, walk, stoop, and bend during the shift
Bilingual:
English/Spanish Able to work well in a fast-paced, ever-changing atmosphere Good communication skills Strong attention to detail Analytical skills Able to work under pressure Proactive attitude Previous experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment (food industry preferred) Knowledge of GMP and food safety standards
