Customer Quality Technician
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Customer Quality Technician(CQT) drives for zero defects in WN machines by reviewing completed equipment from the viewpoint of a customer. The CQT works with cross-functional teams and multiple departments to develop root cause analysis, corrective actions and initial containment .
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Quality Audits:
Conducts Quality gate and CQA audits on finished machines from the customer's viewpoint using WN standards in an Excel based scorecard. (random sample audits are conducted on machines that are ready to ship to customers) Provided feedback on audit finding to Production Supervisor. Reviews findings from audits and works with cross functional teams to implement continuous improvement activities.
Quality Management:
Performs initial containment of inventory with quality defects. Troubleshoots and resolves issues to improve quality on assigned Create Quality Notifications (QN) and block/unblock inventory as issues arise or get resolved Complete all Pre Delivery Inspection (PDI) checklist requirements within allotted time-frame Report open QNs to responsible parties for closure Communicate quality notifications as necessary to other departments
REQUIRED SKILLS
Additional years of experience or education may be substituted for each other as determined by Human Resources. A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline is preferred, or five (5) years of quality experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrate use of analytical problem solving skills and tools. Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Statistical Analysis Software. Experience in quality management processes and problem solving methodology Ability to read and interpret part print drawings including Geometric Tolerancing. Ability to travel between locations at Menomonee Falls and Germantown
