Job Description

For immidieate consideration, please apply on our careers page at: www.denaliingredients.com/careers/ Under the supervision of the Manager, Quality, the Quality Coordinator supports the quality department by monitoring quality program compliance, assisting with customer complaint investigation and corrective actions implementation, train employees on food safety and quality procedures, maintain records, and collaborate with cross-functional departments. The individual is expected to contribute to the operation's mission of Deliver Excellence Every Day and support the goals established across the SQDC pillars (Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost). Essential Duties and Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary. Proven success in maintaining and fostering effective working relationships and communication with key support functions to improve operations and ensure effective support of the SQDC goals through various quality programs. Assist with completion and review of operation and sanitation documentation for compliance with food safety standards (FSMA, GFSI Standard, OFSS, FDA). Work with teams to correct and improve upon any errors. Participate in onboard training for new employees. Assist with updating, developing, and training on standard operating procedures, work instructions, and one-point lessons. Lead and participate on cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality problems and to ensure the continuous, on-going improvement of processes and methods (customer complaints, internal quality/food safety holds, and safety). Maintains a can-do attitude while promoting a collaborative work environment and able to respectfully challenge status quo and offer options to ineffective methods. Comply with safety, food safety, and sanitation standards/regulations. When in the production area observe operators and conditions. Advocate standards by coaching operators and notifying management when observing non-conforming behaviors or conditions. Participate in hygiene and fabrication inspection tracking corrective actions for non-conforming observations. Participate in the validation or verification of preventive controls as directed by quality management. Analyze quality data, identify problem areas, and assist in resolving manufacturing processes or methods that affect quality. Provide coverage of quality technician's duties as assigned by quality management. Other duties as required. Education and/or Experience 2 years of college and 1 - 2 years of experience preferred. Or 4-year high school diploma and 3 - 5 years of progressively responsible related experience. PCQI certification Language Skills Ability to speak, read, and comprehend English. Analyze and interpret work related documents, technical procedures, governmental regulations, and GFSI standards. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals Ability to effectively communicate with managers, vendors, customers, and other employees of the organization. Organizational and Strong Communication skills and abilities. Ability to work in and with Teamwork. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, production schedules, purchase orders, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write/query reports, procedure manuals, and correspondence. Abilities in Microsoft suite (Power Point, Excel, Word, PowerBI). Reasoning Ability Initiative and planning skills and abilities a must. Self-Motivated, Resourceful, Creative, Teachable. Ability to multi-task and management time. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of specifications and information furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to get things done regardless of task size. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Supervisory Responsibilities No supervisory responsibilities. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
