The Quality Technician, checks and inspects in-coming materials, in-process and finished products, ensuring conformance to company quality standards and customer specifications . Requirements This is a 3rd Shift 10pm to 7am, Enjoy 12% shift premium Minimum of 2 to 5 years of Metal Manufacturing experience in a fast pace machining environment Previous Experience as a Quality Technician in a manufacturing setting is Required CMM is experience is plus Attention to detail is required Certification of quality control is a strong advantage ( ISO 9000) Experience and ability to read multiple gauges, dials, and other indicators Regular lifting of parts up to 30# with frequent walking, bending and reaching High School Diploma or Equivalent required Duties Interpret detailed blueprints, work orders, engineering specifications, and routing sheets to determine production standards and tolerance limits. Troubleshoot print and bill of materials problems. Perform inspection on first piece, in process, purchased part and finished material and products, ensuring conformance to specifications. Perform routine quality audits by following the work instructions. Complete all required records and paperwork to include inspection reports, damage reports, return reports, and re-work orders. Communicate with plant supervision noted deviations of tolerances and quality.
