Job Title:

Quality TechnicianJob Description Join a dynamic team as a Quality Technician in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This full-time position requires working the 2nd shift from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and every other Saturday, which will be considered all overtime. It is essential that candidates have no food allergies, as the role involves dealing with nuts, dairy, and other allergenic products. The position entails conducting standardized tests on intermediate and finished food products to ensure compliance with standards and regulations related to size, color, and flavor. Responsibilities

+ Conduct standardized tests on food products to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.

+ Perform flavor analysis, which includes tasting products that may contain allergens such as wheat, milk, soy, egg, peanut, tree nut, and sesame.

+ Check the metal detector for proper operation and report malfunctions to appropriate personnel.

+ Gather retention, microbiological, and control samples from raw materials and finished products.

+ Prepare microbiological sample composites and paperwork for laboratory pickup.

+ Examine and approve product labels before printing.

+ Place products on hold and assist with investigations as needed.

+ Complete daily paperwork as assigned.

+ Comply with all safety and sanitation regulations including SQF code, Plant programs, HACCP, GMP's, and policies.

+ Enforce and report deficiencies in safety and sanitation when appropriate.

+ Analyze quality data to identify problem areas and assist in resolving issues affecting quality.

+ Participate in cross-functional teams to address quality problems and ensure continuous improvement of processes and methods.

+ Obtain environmental samples. Essential Skills + 2 years of college and 1 - 2 years of experience in quality control or assurance, or + 4-year high school diploma and 3 - 5 years of progressively responsible related experience.

+ Proficiency in quality inspection, SOP, HACCP, and food industry standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in quality control, quality assurance, and quality inspection.

+ Knowledge of HACCP and SOP in the food industry. Work Environment The work takes place in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, specifically at the Calhoun Road Plant where solid products like cakes are manufactured. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of New Berlin, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $39520.00 - $49920.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. This is a direct placement role. Benefits will be provided upon start of assignment or earlier if requested by candidate. Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in New Berlin,WI.
