POSITION SUMMARY
As a PMA Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for determining the conformity of articles fabricated, Inspection of articles manufactured by approved vendors ensuring that articles and components meet FAA-approved design data and quality standards, and verifying conformity, Per. (14 CFR 21 Subpart K). To include a level of exposure to Internal and External Audits.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Comply with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), Quality Procedures (QPs) and Local Work Instructions. Able to perform tests and inspections of products, services or processes to evaluate quality or performance. Provide procedural guidance to Fabricators and other inspectors. Accomplish review of Work Order (W/O) documentation prior to Final Release of articles. Experience in maintaining records for traceability to articles released from the Production Approval Holder (PAH). Conduct inspections on all completed work before release to service or stores, ensuring proper execution of reports and forms. Assist in PMA FAA Audits Must be responsible for the accomplishment of assigned duties and responsibilities to support staff members and other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS -EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
High School Diploma or any combination of education and professional experience that would meet the responsibilities listed above. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering drawings, technical procedures, aerospace specifications, and government regulations Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and work independently. Proficient with inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges) and First Article Inspections.
Excellent communication skills:
able to present information and respond to questions from managers, peers, and suppliers. Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel. Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to understand and interpret the content of aircraft technical data. Experience working in a PMA or FAA regulated manufacturing environment.
