Electrical Technician

Job Summary:

Responsible for assembling, installing, wiring, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures. Essential Functions Maintenance and Troubleshooting

• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Perform regular maintenance and repair work on electrical systems and equipment to ensure they operate efficiently and safely. Testing & Quality Assurance
• Conduct tests on electrical systems, equipment, and components using test equipment and tools to ensure functionality and safety.
• Inspect completed assemblies and products to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards.
• Document test results and observations and provide feedback to the engineering and production teams.
• Conduct thorough testing of completed assemblies and products to ensure they meet specified quality standards and compliance regulations. Documentation and Reporting
• Maintain detailed records of all installations, repairs, and inspections
• Prepare reports summarizing test results, defects, and corrective actions taken.
• Document processes used for assembly and testing as assigned
• Recommend improvements to processes and testing for evaluation by team lead, quality team, and/or engineering. Approval before implementation of changes is expected. Safety and Compliance
• Ensure that all production activities comply with safety regulations and company policies. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
• Proficient in using test equipment and hand tools.

• Proficient in Windows PC systems. Preferred Experience (KSAs):
• Associate degree in Electrical Technology or related field.
• Certification in Electrical Technology or a related discipline.
• Experience with quality assurance and testing protocols.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical prints and schematics. Education and Experience Requirements To perform at a proficient level and be fully qualified, a person would be expected to have:
• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized apprenticeship or vocational training program in electrical technology.
• 5 years' experience wiring panels and complex machines from prints, schematics, and technical instructions.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and wiring diagrams.
• Proven experience as an Electrical Technician or in a similar role. Core Competencies

Pay:

$23.00 - $45.00 per hour
