Job Title:
Panel Builder Job Description This role focuses on panel wiring and electrical assembly of overhead crane units, ensuring safe, accurate, and high-quality builds from start to finish. Responsibilities Perform panel wiring and electrical assembly for overhead crane units according to specifications and standards. Measure and lay out conduit runs and angles to ensure accurate and efficient routing. Use an electric conduit tool to cut, bend, and install conduit as required. Read, interpret, and work from interconnect and wiring diagrams to complete electrical connections correctly. Assemble mechanical and electrical components using appropriate hand tools and equipment. Work at heights while properly using a safety harness to install and connect panels and associated components. Operate a scissor lift safely to access elevated work areas for wiring and assembly tasks. Inspect completed panels and assemblies for quality, accuracy, and compliance with drawings and schematics. Maintain a clean and organized work area and handle general labor tasks related to panel building. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while performing electrical, mechanical, and assembly work. Essential Skills At least 2 years of electrical panel building experience. Proficiency in panel wiring and electrical assembly for industrial or overhead crane units. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and interconnect and wiring diagrams. Skilled in measuring conduit runs and angles accurately. Experience using an electric conduit tool for cutting, bending, and installing conduit. Capability to perform mechanical and mechanical assembly tasks using hand tools. Comfort working at heights while using a safety harness. Ability to operate a scissor lift safely for elevated work. General electrical knowledge and hands-on wiring experience. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with panel assembly in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Experience in general labor tasks related to electrical and mechanical assembly. Familiarity with a variety of hand tools and basic power tools. Ability to work from blueprints and schematics with minimal supervision. Strong work ethic and reliability in a structured production setting. Why Work Here? Work takes place in a clean facility with organized workstations and production areas. You will frequently use hand tools, electric conduit tools, and operate equipment such as scissor lifts. The role involves working at heights with a safety harness and performing both electrical and mechanical assembly tasks in an industrial shop environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sussex, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
