Companies Offers You Full time with benefits Competitive salary Stable hours Vacation/paid time off 10 paid holidays Willing to train Opportunity for growth and development Health, Dental, and Vision plans Chance for advancement 401k with match Employee Assistance Program Employee appreciation events Safe environment Automated factory Job Description Analyzing raw materials as well as finished product such as cement, aggregates, and other related products Assure that the plant is adhering to all quality control procedures Must work closely with production personnel in order to meet quality standards Teamwork with other company supervisors, peers and subordinates is a must Maintain laboratory equipment in proper working order Ensures laboratory conditions are within standards Ensures all quality control procedures are followed on a daily basis or as needed Ensures all logs and files related to the quality control function are maintained Complies with all safety regulations Responsible for housekeeping in the quality control area of the plant Requirements High School degree or equivalent is preferred Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations involving ratios and percentages in both English and metric units Must be able to work around industrial machinery Must be able to take direction in a manufacturing environment with ever changing demands Must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills Able to obtain ACI Field Testing Level 1, ACI Concrete Strength Level 1, ACPA Quality School certifications within 8 months of hire. Able to obtain local DOT certifications. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including OUTLOOK, EXCEL and WORD. Working Conditions Varying weather conditions in the local area including temperature extremes, dust, rain, wind and snow Exposure to gasoline, diesel fuel, motor oils, anti-freeze, cement dust and electrical systems Hearing and respiratory protection required in designated locations Requires the physical endurance to work 50-60 hours per week over a period of 5 - 6 days Requires the ability to climb heights (steps, ladders and ramp walkways with handrails) This is an industrial environment, requires attention to SAFETY, physical dexterity, and intermittently required to use hands, arms, legs, feet and body.
