Job Description

We are seeking a Cosmetic Inspector to perform visual inspections of chrome-plated and painted Class A sheet metal stampings. This role ensures that finished surfaces meet strict cosmetic standards, free from blemishes, scratches, pits, peel, or other defects. The Cosmetic Inspector will work closely with production, plating, and paint teams to safeguard customer requirements.
Pay Range:
$17 - $19 per hour Essential Job Functions Inspect finished Class A surfaces for cosmetic defects such as scratches, pits, waves, blisters, inclusions, or finish inconsistencies. Compare parts against customer standards, master samples, and visual boards. Document inspection results and escalate nonconformances to Quality and Production leadership. Segregate and contain defective parts, assisting in root cause and corrective action activities. Support final approval before shipment to customers. Maintain inspection areas, visual standards, and records. Education & Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required. Qualifications Prior inspection experience in chrome-plated, painted, or Class A stamped parts preferred. Keen eye for detail with ability to detect even minor surface flaws. Understanding of handling precautions for finished Class A parts. Basic measurement tool knowledge (calipers, micrometers, gauges) beneficial. Reliable, detail-focused, and able to work independently on the production floor. Physical Demands Ability to lift up to 40 LBS, lift twist, grab, stand (up to 8 to 10 hours), walk, push, pull, use both hands to lift and lower materials, and perform all other essential duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
