We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Quality Control Inspector to join our manufacturing team. The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for inspecting plastic injection molded components to ensure they meet customer specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. This position plays a critical role in maintaining product quality by identifying defects, documenting inspection results, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Essential Responsibilities Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections of plastic injection molded parts. Inspect products for cosmetic defects, dimensional accuracy, and compliance with customer specifications. Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, and other inspection equipment. Complete inspection reports, quality records, and production documentation accurately. Approve or reject products based on established quality standards and work instructions. Identify nonconforming materials and assist with containment and corrective actions. Work closely with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to resolve quality concerns. Verify production setup approvals and monitor process compliance throughout production runs. Maintain calibration records and ensure measuring equipment is properly maintained. Participate in continuous improvement activities to reduce defects and improve product quality. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety policies. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Previous quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment of at least 1 year preferred. Experience in plastic injection molding is strongly preferred. Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and product specifications. Proficiency using precision measuring instruments. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills. Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Lift up to 35 pounds occasionally. Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements. Good vision, including the ability to distinguish colors and identify cosmetic defects. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and machine noise.
