As an Inspection Engineer , you will play a key role in developing automated inspection solutions, advanced metrology programs, custom fixtures, and functional gages that improve product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and measurement accuracy.

Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package. What You Will Do in This Role? Develop and maintain automated measurement programs for CNC and manual metrology equipment. Analyze inspection requirements and collaborate with internal stakeholders to define hardware, software, and system specifications. Design, develop, test, document, and modify software programs used in automated inspection and measurement systems. Create inspection programs using CMM and 3D scanning technologies to ensure measurement accuracy, repeatability, and efficiency. Design, source, and implement functional gages and custom workholding solutions to improve inspection processes. Develop clear documentation, work instructions, and training materials that support turnkey inspection solutions. Analyze and present inspection results, communicating findings and recommendations to technical teams. Research emerging metrology technologies and implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality and productivity. Support process validation, troubleshooting, and optimization activities related to inspection systems and equipment. What You Will Need for This Role?
Required Qualifications 2+ years of inspection, quality, or metrology experience in medical device, consumer products, automotive, aerospace, or related manufacturing industries. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). Experience programming and operating CNC Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) using software such as PolyWorks, PC-DMIS, or Calypso . Experience with 3D scanning and inspection software such as PolyWorks or GOM Inspect . Experience using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, ProE, or NX . Ability to develop work instructions, training materials, and technical documentation. Ability to travel domestically approximately twice per year (3-7 days per trip). Preferred Qualifications Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Design, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline. Professional certifications in inspection, quality, or metrology (e.g., CWI, NDT). Experience developing or modifying software programs for machine controls, automation systems, or manufacturing equipment. Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA). Experience supporting products subject to FDA, ISO, IEC, UL, CE, FCC, or other regulatory requirements. Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments and using project management tools such as Jira or Monday.com. Experience within medical device, healthcare technology, or other highly regulated industries. Software development, automation, or controls-related certifications. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong mechanical aptitude and experience designing custom fixtures or workholding solutions. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to explain technical concepts and mentor team members with varying levels of experience. Strong understanding of automated inspection systems, metrology, and measurement technologies. Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical information. Self-motivated learner with a passion for continuous improvement and emerging technologies.
