Full Time Position Overview

The QA Specialist supports implementation of the project Quality Management System for building and architectural construction. This role focuses on executing inspections, verifying compliance, and maintaining accurate quality documentation to ensure work is completed in accordance with contract documents, codes, and company standards. They report to the Buildings QA Manager as part of the overall project QA team. #LI-FH1District Overview

Location

This position will start in Abilene, Texas or Point Pleasant, WV.

Candidates must be open to relocating as needed. We relocate our teams based on the work that is available, combined with the development plans, skill sets and career goals of each team member.

This means your Kiewit adventure is custom-designed to meet our shared needs. Responsibilities Coordinate inspections and testing activities to align with project schedule and construction progress for assigned scopes: interior walls/framing, MEP rough-ins, finishes, roofing systems, PEMB, windows/glazing, and firestopping systems.

Assist with subcontractor quality oversight and verification of completed work to verify work complies with drawings, specifications, manufacturer requirements, applicable codes, and approved work plans.

Prepare and maintain accurate inspection reports, test records, and quality documentation.

Identify, document, and track nonconformances through resolution in accordance with project requirements.

Review material receiving, subcontractor and supplier documentation, and installation readiness for compliance.

Communicate quality issues, results, and status clearly to the Quality Manager and project team. Success Measures Improved field execution through proactive quality verification

Early identification and resolution of quality issues

Timely and accurate completion of inspections and documentation

Strong compliance with project quality requirements and standards

Qualifications 5+ years of relevant quality assurance, quality control, or construction on commercial building projects.

Data center construction experience strongly preferred

Strong understanding of commerical building systems: structural, envelope, architectural finishes, fire/life safety, HVAC and interior systems.

Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and commercial building codes.

Strong communication skills and ability to influence field and project teams.

Experience with commissioning or closeout process.
