Job Summary Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Sewing Machine Operator and become a vital part of creating high-quality garments and upholstery products. In this role, you will operate industrial sewing machines to assemble, sew, and finish fabric materials with precision and care. Duties Operate various sewing machines, including industrial sewing machines and serging equipment, to construct garments, upholstery, or other fabric-based products. Measure and mark fabric materials accurately using measuring instruments to ensure precise seam construction and proper fit. Handle materials efficiently within the warehouse or production area, ensuring proper storage and movement of fabrics and finished items. Follow detailed garment construction and upholstery specifications to maintain consistency across products. Conduct dimensional measurements during production to verify product accuracy against design standards. Maintain safety standards in production by following established procedures and using appropriate safety equipment at all times. Perform manual fabric cutting when necessary, ensuring clean cuts for optimal seam construction and minimal material waste. Use sewing techniques such as embroidery, serging, and seam construction to produce durable, high-quality finished goods. Monitor quality standards throughout the manufacturing process, inspecting seams, stitches, and overall craftsmanship to meet company benchmarks. Document production activities accurately, including completion of shift reports and quality control logs. Qualifications Proven experience operating sewing machines, including industrial sewing machines and sergers. Strong understanding of garment sewing, upholstery work, and seam construction techniques. Familiarity with measuring instruments for accurate fabric measurement and dimensional checks. Knowledge of quality standards in production to ensure consistent product excellence. Ability to handle fabric materials carefully during sewing, cutting, and assembly processes. Experience with materials handling within a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred. Understanding of safety standards in production environments to maintain a secure workspace. Basic skills in embroidery or other decorative sewing techniques are a plus. Prior experience in manufacturing or warehouse settings will be advantageous for success in this role. #
