JOB Description Job Summary:
Full-time permanent positions are available for sewing machine operator in our wall pad areaJob Duties/Responsibilities:
Job duties include, but are not limited to the following:- Process
- understanding the practices of sewing using an industrial sewing machine
- Sewing
- be proficient at sewing on several machines
- Vinyl is the main material used
- Production
- producing quality goods in a timely fashion
- Monitoring machine operation to detect problems such as defective stitching, breaks in thread, or machine malfunctions and reporting to your lead
- Positioning items under needles, using marks on machines, clamps, templates as guides
- Placing spools of thread, cord, or other materials on spindles, insert bobbins, and thread ends through machine guides and components
- Matching materials pieces in correct sequences prior to sewing them and verify that patterns match
- Guiding materials under machine needles and presser feet to sew parts together
- Record keeping of produced quantities
- Inspect finished products to locate/correct defects if able
- Be proficient at sewing and be willing to cross-train in other areas
- Getting information
- observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources
- Controlling machines and processes
- using either control mechanisms of direct physical activity to operate machines or processes
- Handling and moving objects
- using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things
- Inspection equipment, structure, or material
- inspecting equipment and materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects, and reporting any and all defects to leads
- Communication with supervisors, peers and subordinates is a must as you will provide information to all

Qualifications:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
