Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Sewing Machine Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, ensuring that machinery operates efficiently and products meet quality standards. This position requires a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Operate industrial sewing machines (e.g., single-needle, sergers, coverstitch machines, walkimg foot machine). Read and interpret patterns, technical drawings, or production instructions. Sew different kinds of fabrics and synthetic materials with precision and efficiency. Adjust machine settings such as thread tension, stitch length, and speed. Perform routine maintenance on sewing machines (e.g., cleaning, oiling, changing needles). Inspect finished products for quality, ensuring proper stitching and alignment. Repair or rework defective items to meet quality standards. Work with different fabrics, including heavy or delicate materials. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment. Operate and monitor machinery on the assembly line to ensure smooth production flow. Perform setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting of equipment as needed. Assemble components according to specifications and tech pack. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and resolve any issues that arise. Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and tooling to ensure optimal performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience with industrial sewing machines (training may be provided). Experience on coverstitch and serger(overlock) machines is a must Knowledge of different stitch types, fabrics, and sewing techniques. Ability to read and follow sewing instructions or patterns. Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Physical stamina to sit and operate a sewing machine for extended periods. Basic troubleshooting and machine maintenance skills.
Work Environment:
Typically in a factory, production facility, or workshop setting. May involve repetitive tasks and prolonged sitting. Proven experience as a Machine Operator or similar role in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. Proficient in using hand tools and measuring instruments for quality control tasks. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently.
