This role offers the opportunity to work over 50 hours per week with potential double-time pay for overtime. As a Die Setter, you will be instrumental in preparing and maintaining tooling and dies for manufacturing processes, ensuring smooth production runs and high-quality output. Your expertise will keep our operations efficient, safe, and aligned with industry standards. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and troubleshoot various stamping presses, forming machines, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other metal fabrication equipment. Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately to ensure precise die setup and adjustments. Perform machining tool setup using hand tools and measurement instruments to achieve tight tolerances. Conduct quality inspections utilizing precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and adherence to specifications. Maintain safety standards by following safety protocols during machine operation and handling heavy sheet metal components. Collaborate with team members on machine operation, die changes, and process improvements to optimize production efficiency. Document setup procedures, machine adjustments, and inspection results thoroughly for traceability. Requirements Proven experience as a Die Setter or in a similar manufacturing role involving press operation and machine setup OR Overhead Crane Operating experience Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings. Proficiency in operating CNC laser cutting machines, CNC programming, plasma cutting, press brake machines, CNC lathe/milling machines, welding, forming machines, and stamping presses. Skilled in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges for quality control. Knowledge of safety standards in manufacturing environments and adherence to safety protocols at all times. Ability to perform shop math accurately for measurements and calculations related to machining and fabrication tasks.
