15 Position Summary All About Labor is hiring experienced 1st Class Marine Joiners for a long-term shipbuilding opportunity in Pascagoula, MS. Marine Joiners are responsible for fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing shipboard interior components. This includes bulkheads, marine doors, ceilings, partitions, furniture, racks, cabinetry, false decks, and other interior outfitting components. Candidates must have strong blueprint reading, measurement, layout, fitting, and marine door installation skills and be comfortable working with both wood and metal materials in a shipyard environment. Pay & Schedule
  • $38.00/hour
  • Up to $147/day Per Diem
  • Per diem paid at $18.38/hour for up to 8 hours per day
  • Time and a half after 40 hours
  • Double time on Sundays
  • Guaranteed 40 hours per week
  • Additional overtime may be available based on project demands
Available Shifts Day Shift:
6:00 AM - 2:30
PM Evening Shift:
2:30 PM - 11:00 PM Responsibilities
  • Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair shipboard interior components
  • Layout and install marine doors
  • Install bulkheads, partitions, false decks, and ceilings
  • Install furniture, cabinetry, racks, bins, and cabin accessories
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical layout drawings
  • Accurately measure and layout materials for installation
  • Work with both wood and metal materials
  • Perform tack welding as required
  • Follow all shipyard safety procedures
  • Work safely in confined spaces and elevated areas when required
  • Maintain quality and accuracy in a fast-paced shipyard environment Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Marine Joiner or related craft experience in shipfitting, carpentry, or sheet metal
  • Marine/shipyard experience strongly preferred
  • Must be able to read and interpret technical blueprints
  • Strong measurement and layout skills
  • Experience with marine door layout and installation
  • Must pass a Tacker Certification Test
  • Must successfully complete an on-site hands-on skills assessment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must meet required drug-screening requirements Hands-On Test Candidates must travel to Pascagoula, MS to complete an on-site skills assessment.
Testing includes:
  • Tacker Certification Test
  • Layout of a marine door using provided blueprints
  • Fitting and installation of a marine door
  • Demonstration of blueprint comprehension and layout accuracy Test results are provided the same day.
Candidates who successfully pass the assessment will move forward to the next step of the hiring process. Drug Screening A hair follicle drug screening is required. If THC is the only concern, a mouth-swab retest may be offered based on current hiring requirements. Per Diem Eligibility Candidates must reside 75 miles or more from the jobsite to qualify for per diem. Candidates must provide qualifying proof of current residency in their name.
