•15 DOE Temp to Hire Job Responsibilities Operate sewing machines safely and efficiently. Set up machines and select the appropriate thread and materials. Guide material through the sewing machine accurately. Understand different stitching patterns and identify stitching errors. Inspect and audit finished products to ensure they meet quality standards. Recognize skipped stitches or machine issues and request maintenance assistance when necessary. Repair errors and make revisions as needed. Read and accurately use a measuring tape. Follow written and verbal work instructions. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all established safety procedures. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members. Physical Requirements Position is stationary approximately 80% of the workday . Must be able to bend, stoop, walk, and move materials as needed. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. No open-toe shoes are permitted. Qualifications Previous sewing machine or industrial sewing experience is preferred not required. Must be able to read and understand English work instructions. Ability to read a measuring tape. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work quickly while maintaining accuracy and quality. Ability to identify problems and ask questions when assistance is needed. $12.00
