Description:
SUMMARY The Sewist is responsible for producing high-quality custom drapery, AV-Drop skins, and other fabric products. This role requires strong sewing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while meeting production deadlines and quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate industrial sewing equipment, including straight stitch and overlock. Measure, cut, sew, and finish fabric products according to work orders and specifications. Inspect work for accuracy, quality, and craftsmanship. Follow instructions and drawings. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Assist with fabric handling, material organization, and inventory as needed. Meet daily production goals while maintaining quality standards. Support team members and assist with other fabrication tasks as assigned.

Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of sewing experience preferred. Experience with industrial sewing machines. Ability to accurately read a tape measure and follow specifications. Strong attention to detail and quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Willingness to work overtime when required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to stand, bend, and sit for extended periods. Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to sewing equipment and textiles.
