Industrial Sewing Machine Operator

Our client, a global leader in manufacturing, is looking for an Industrial Quilt Sewer to join their team in Coxsackie, NY . In this role, you will operate industrial sewing equipment to assemble and produce high-quality mattress and box spring covers while maintaining accuracy, quality, and a safe work environment on the second shift.

Key Responsibilities:

Assemble panels and borders according to established work instructions using various industrial sewing machines including double overcasters, Brother quilters, and sergers Sew borders to panel cloth and produce mattress and box spring covers Overcast edges of quilting border material rolls Read production tickets, gather required materials, and accurately document completed work Sort, fold, and stack covers, borders, and panels as needed Move finished products and manage material carts throughout the shift Perform basic machine maintenance including rethreading and needle changes Use measuring tools and apply basic math skills to ensure quality and accuracy Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation at all times

Requirements:

Must be 18 years or older High school diploma or GED preferred Prior sewing experience in a textile or manufacturing environment preferred Experience with industrial sewing equipment is a plus Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, and fractions Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physical tasks throughout the shift

Pay & Schedule:

Base Pay:

$21.00 per hour

Shift Differential:

+$2.00 per hour ($23.00 total)

Shift:
