Job Description Sanctus Stone Works is seeking a driven, hands-on Studio Specialist to join our growing workshop near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. This is not a factory or assembly-line position. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities to work with a wide variety of materials, tools, and processes. We're looking for someone who enjoys building, creating, repairing, solving problems with their hands, and is passionate about Catholic art and architecture. Our studio combines traditional craftsmanship with modern technology to create marble and limestone statues, altars, architectural elements, sacred furnishings, church restorations, custom commissions, molds, castings, and 3D models. Each project is unique. We're looking for someone who is highly motivated, dependable, mechanically inclined, and eager to learn. If you've worked in construction, remodeling, carpentry, cabinetmaking, automotive restoration, manufacturing, machining, fabrication, painting, landscaping, or another hands-on trade, your experience may translate well into this role. If you have a deep appreciation for Catholic theology, history, sacred art, and traditional craftsmanship, and possess the skills to learn, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities Depending on the project, responsibilities may include: Hand-finishing marble, limestone, resin, bronze, wood, and other materials Building stone walls, dressing stones, and mixing mortar Sanding, shaping, smoothing, polishing, and surface preparation Silicone mold making and resin casting Painting, staining, finishing, and surface detailing Sculpture finishing and restoration work Operating CNC machines and assisting with fabrication Programming, slicing, and producing components using industrial 3D printers Assembly of sculptures, architectural pieces, and custom projects Preparing molds, patterns, and templates Safely operating shop machinery, power tools, and hand tools Material handling using forklifts, hoists, and lifting equipment Quality control and final inspection of completed work Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional workshop Occasionally assisting with installations and restoration projects in the field Because our work is highly customized, this position is ideal for someone who enjoys learning new skills and working on different types of projects rather than performing the same task every day.
