Key Responsibilities:
Sew cushion casings, seat and back covers, welting/piping, and other components for custom furniture according to product specifications Operate industrial sewing machines (single-needle and walking-foot) across a variety of materials including fabric, leather, and vinyl Match patterns and maintain consistent seam quality from piece to piece Works as part of a team to meet or exceed production goals Multi-task and be comfortable in a fast pace, manufacturing environment Learn additional functions by cross-training in other departments, as needed Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Basic Job Skills and Requirements:
Prefer 3+ years of industrial sewing experience (upholstery or furniture sewing a plus) Able to perform physically demanding job duties which require a consistent and energetic individual. Able to sit, stand, walk, bend over, and reach for a minimum of 8 hours each shift without restrictions. (Typical 8 hour shift/ 40 hour work week) Able to lift objects 20lbs - 50lbs (team lifting available for heavier fabric rolls). Able to maintain a clean and safe working environment
