Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Sewing Machine Operator to join our company. We are seeking a contract sewing machine operator for our Juki Post Bed sewing machine for sewing patches onto hats. Duties Operate industrial sewing machine to assemble and finish products according to specifications. Measure materials and finished products using measuring instruments to ensure accurate dimensions and adherence to quality standards. Perform manual fabric cutting and materials handling to prepare components for sewing operations. Construct seams with precision, ensuring proper seam construction and garment sewing techniques are followed. Conduct dimensional measurements throughout the production process to verify product consistency and quality. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety standards in production and handling materials properly. Inspect finished products for defects, quality standards in production, and proper seam construction before packaging or shipment. Skills Proficiency in operating various sewing machines Strong understanding of measuring instruments and dimensional measurements for quality control. Knowledge of fabric materials, upholstery textiles, and their specific handling requirements. Experience with manual cutting (fabric cutting) techniques and materials handling within a manufacturing setting. Familiarity with safety standards in production environments to ensure personal and team safety. Ability to interpret technical drawings or sewing patterns related to garment construction and upholstery projects. Attention to detail in sew construction, seam integrity, and overall product quality assurance.
