Job Description

Production Sewist Part or Full Time Starting Pay:
$22-25/hour

Morrisville, VT — BirdieBlue Cut & Sew Studio (aka the Nest ) About BirdieBlue BirdieBlue is on a mission to rescue well-loved ski and snowboard gear from landfills and give it a bold second life as colorful, adventure-ready bags. From fanny packs to carry-alls, every BirdieBlue bag tells a story of big mountain days, creative reuse, and love for Mother Earth. Since launching in 2022, we've saved 20,000+ pieces of gear from landfills and are just getting started. We're a woman-led, Vermont-based brand that believes sustainability should be joyful, creative, and community-driven — and that doing good can look really good, too. The Role We're looking for a skilled and reliable Production Sewist to join our growing team at the BirdieBlue Nest in Morrisville, VT. You'll play a critical role in bringing BirdieBlue bags to life, supporting production sewing, repairs, sampling, and new product testing . You'll work closely with our small but mighty team to ensure each bag meets our quality standards while helping us move efficiently to meet production goals. This is a great fit for someone who loves working with their hands, enjoys problem-solving with unique materials, and wants to be part of a mission-driven brand with room to grow. What You'll Do Sew BirdieBlue products using industrial sewing machines Complete production sewing with consistency, efficiency, and attention to detail Perform repairs and quality fixes on finished and in-progress products Support sampling and new product development tests Work with a variety of upcycled materials including technical outerwear fabrics Collaborate with the production team to meet weekly production goals Maintain a clean, organized, and safe sewing workspace Who You Are Experienced working with industrial sewing machines Comfortable sewing a variety of fabrics, including technical and non-traditional materials Detail-oriented and able to produce high-quality work efficiently Reliable, punctual, and consistent with quality and attendance Flexible and willing to support other production tasks as needed A solutions-oriented teammate who enjoys working in a small, collaborative environment Passionate about sustainability, creativity, and making things that matter Compensation + Perks $25/hour, with the opportunity to earn production bonuses for meeting and exceeding production quotas.
