Job Description
We are a small business specializing in handcrafted therapeutic compression wraps designed to support comfort and recovery. We are looking for a detail-oriented, reliable sewer to join our close-knit team. This role goes beyond sewing, you will be a key part of keeping our operation running smoothly day to day. Primary responsibilities Sew therapeutic compression wraps according to established patterns and specifications, maintaining consistent quality and fit Inspect finished products for accuracy, stitching quality, and workmanship before packaging Cut and prepare fabric and elastic components as needed Operate and perform basic maintenance on industrial or domestic sewing machines Additional duties Assist with inventory tasks including receiving materials, labeling stock, and noting when supplies are running low Help with packing and fulfilling customer orders accurately and carefully Maintain a clean, organized workspace and perform general shop cleaning as needed Support other team members with tasks as the business requires, we are a small team and everyone pitches in What we are looking for Prior sewing experience required; experience with elastic, stretch fabrics, or medical/therapeutic products a strong plus High attention to detail and a commitment to quality in every product Ability to work at a steady pace and meet production goals Comfortable in a small business environment where roles can shift and flexibility is valued Dependable, punctual, and a team playerNice to have Experience with basic inventory systems or order fulfillment Interest in health, wellness, or therapeutic products Ability to suggest process improvements as you learn the workflow Education requirements Training in sewing, textile arts, or apparel construction is a plus Demonstrated hands-on sewing ability - we value what you can do over credentials Physical requirements Ability to sit for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours per day) while operating a sewing machine Frequent use of hands and fingers for fine motor tasks including sewing, cutting, and handling small materials Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs (fabric rolls, supply boxes, inventory) Sufficient visual acuity to distinguish fabric colors, read measurements, and inspect fine stitching detail Occasional standing, bending, and reaching required for cleaning and inventory tasks Equal opportunity employer We are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to creating an inclusive workplace for all employees.
