  • Riverside, CA Full-TimeOn-Site$150,000 - $160,000 /yr Posted July 16, 2026 Position Overview The Sales Engineer is responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market presence, and serving as a technical resource for customers, consulting engineers, contractors, representatives, and end users across the defined territory.
This role combines technical expertise with relationship-driven sales, helping customers identify and implement industrial solutions while supporting long-term business development initiatives. The ideal candidate has experience selling engineered equipment or industrial systems and is comfortable working with consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, facility owners, and end users. This position requires strong communication skills, technical credibility, and the ability to identify and pursue new market opportunities. Key Responsibilities Promote industrial heating equipment, engineered systems, and related services to consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, facility owners, and end users. Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and industry stakeholders to increase market awareness and drive revenue growth. Provide technical support and product expertise throughout the sales process. Conduct product presentations, technical demonstrations, lunch-and-learns, and educational sessions for customers and partners. Travel throughout the assigned territory to support customers, strengthen relationships, and identify new business opportunities. Serve as a trusted advisor on equipment selection, system design considerations, and application requirements. Maintain a strong understanding of product offerings, competitive solutions, and industry trends. Develop and maintain competitive analysis documentation and product comparisons. Support the development and delivery of product and sales training programs for representatives, contractors, and customers. Identify and pursue new market segments and growth opportunities. Collaborate with internal sales, engineering, product management, and service teams to support customer needs and business objectives. Maintain accurate records of customer activities, opportunities, and sales forecasts. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related technical discipline preferred. Extensive experience in Sales Engineering, Application Engineering, Technical Sales, or a similar customer-facing role. Experience selling heat transfer equipment, boiler systems, thermal fluid systems, hydronic systems, or other industrial process equipment preferred. Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience working with consulting engineers, specifying engineers, mechanical contractors, and industrial end users. Strong presentation, relationship-building, and business development skills. Knowledge of steam systems, hot water systems, boilers, thermal fluid heaters, combustion systems, or industrial heating applications is highly preferred. Field service or commissioning experience is a plus. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams. Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the territory.
