Job Description
Job Title:
Heat Treat Operator Job Description The heat treat process begins after the screws are manufactured in the manufacturing building. The screws are then moved to the heat treat building to be processed. As a Heat Treat Operator, you will be operating a heat treat furnace and using a forklift to load screws into the furnace. This role requires standing on your feet for a minimum of 8 hours a day. Responsibilities Operate the heat treat furnace. Use a forklift to load screws into the furnace. Ensure proper processing of screws through heat treatment. Stand and work on your feet for a minimum of 8 hours each day. Essential Skills Mechanical inclination is a must. Experience in machine operation is highly recommended. Basic knowledge of heat treating processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with racking, construction, and stamping press. Mechanical aptitude, including oil change and machine operating. Experience in pipes, HVAC, or plumbing is advantageous. Why Work Here? You'll collaborate alongside other Heat Treat Operators. The facility is expanding with new temperature-controlled racking rooms being built. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Agawam, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
