PAY IS BASED OF EXPERIENCE
We are looking for a reliable Scrap Metal Torch Cutter / Metal Processor to join our scrap metal recycling operation. The primary responsibility of this position is to use an oxy-fuel cutting torch to separate different types of metals for recycling. This includes cutting steel attachments and components from aluminum, stainless steel, and other scrap materials so the metals can be properly separated and processed. Responsibilities Use an oxy-fuel cutting torch to separate steel from aluminum, stainless steel, and other scrap metals Identify and separate different types of scrap metal Cut and prepare oversized or mixed-metal material for processing Inspect material and determine what needs to be removed or separated Safely handle and work around heavy scrap metal Maintain torch, hoses, regulators, and related equipment Keep the work area clean and organized Follow all company safety procedures and proper PPE requirements Assist with other scrap yard duties as needed Qualifications Previous torch-cutting, scrap metal, welding, or similar industrial experience preferred Ability to safely operate an oxy-fuel cutting torch ( WE
WILL TRAIN
) Basic knowledge of different metals is preferred Comfortable working outdoors and in an industrial scrap-yard environment Ability to perform physically demanding work Dependable and able to work independently Strong attention to safety Experience in the scrap metal industry is a plus, but we are willing to consider candidates with relevant torch-cutting or industrial experience.
Position:
Full-time Pay:
$23.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 45.0 per week
