Full-Time; Rotating Shift.
Pay:
Starting at $24.34/hr., depending on experience and boiler license certification level.

Job Description:
Immediate opening for a Boiler Operator to join a leading industrial operation in Ashland. The Boiler Operator will be responsible for monitoring and controlling biomass and oil-fired boiler systems, as well as a turbine generator, to ensure safe and efficient operation of the facility. This individual will perform routine operational troubleshooting, minor repairs, and daily operation and maintenance of dry kilns. The ideal candidate will possess a Maine High Pressure Boiler License, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment while working rotating shifts.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and control the operation of biomass and oil-fired boilers in a safe and efficient manner. Operate and oversee turbine generator equipment to ensure optimal performance. Perform operational troubleshooting and identify equipment issues as they arise. Complete routine minor repairs and maintenance on boiler-related equipment. Conduct daily operation and maintenance of dry kilns. Monitor system performance and make necessary operational adjustments. Maintain accurate operating records and documentation. Adhere to all company safety procedures, environmental regulations, and operating standards. Communicate equipment concerns and maintenance needs to supervisors and maintenance personnel. Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to support facility operations. Perform additional duties as assigned to support plant operations.
Job Requirements:
Trade certification or Associate's degree required. Valid Maine High Pressure (HP) Boiler License required. 1-5 years of boiler operation or related industrial experience preferred. Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment and performing minor repairs. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment. Ability to work rotating shifts as part of a 24/7 operation. Strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to workplace safety. TEMPO Employment Services is an EEO/AA employer.
