Days:

6:00 AM-6:00

PM Nights:

6:00 PM-6:00 AM Monday-Wednesday or Thursday-Saturday Rotating schedules may also be available Schedule is based on operational needs.

Pay:

$24.34/hr - $30.00/hr depending on experience and boiler license certification level.

The Boiler Operator will be responsible for monitoring and controlling biomass and oil-fired boiler systems, as well as a turbine generator, to ensure safe and efficient operation of the facility. This individual will perform routine operational troubleshooting, minor repairs, and daily operation and maintenance of dry kilns. The ideal candidate will possess a Maine High Pressure Boiler License, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment while working rotating shifts.

Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain high-pressure boiler systems and related equipment Monitor boiler performance and make adjustments as needed Conduct regular equipment inspections and identify maintenance needs Respond quickly and safely to equipment malfunctions and emergencies Perform water treatment activities related to boiler operations Assist with maintenance and troubleshooting of utility systems Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements Assist with preventative and routine maintenance activities Work closely with other team members to maintain efficient facility operations Train other plant personnel on boiler operations as directed Participate in safety meetings and inspections Maintain a clean and safe work environment Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

Trade certification or Associate's degree required. Valid Maine High Pressure (HP) Boiler License required. 1-5 years of boiler operation or related industrial experience preferred. Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment and performing minor repairs. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment. Ability to work rotating shifts as part of a 24/7 operation. Strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to workplace safety.
