Job Summary:

As a Tempering Furnace Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the tempering furnace equipment to ensure the efficient production of high-quality tempered glass products.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor tempering furnace equipment according to established procedures and safety guidelines. Set up and adjust furnace parameters such as temperature, conveyor speed, and cooling rates to achieve desired glass tempering results. Conduct regular inspections of the furnace and associated machinery to ensure proper functioning and identify any issues or maintenance needs. Monitor glass quality throughout the tempering process, making adjustments as necessary to maintain product specifications. Follow standard operating procedures for loading and unloading glass sheets onto the conveyor system. Collaborate with maintenance personnel to perform routine maintenance tasks and troubleshoot equipment problems. Maintain accurate production records, including batch information, downtime, and quality checks. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members. Other duties and tasks assigned by management

Requirements:

Required Skills/Abilities Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate and troubleshoot machinery. Knowledge of glass tempering processes, equipment, and quality standards. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift/move heavy glass sheets as needed. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as required.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 75lbs at times.
