Full Time About the Opportunity An employee owned leader in industrial boiler services is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to support its growing Aftermarket Parts and Service division. This is a consultative engineering sales role where you'll work directly with industrial and commercial clients throughout Manhattan and the NYC metro area. You'll partner with field technicians to identify opportunities, develop technical solutions, prepare proposals, and manage projects from quote through completion. This is a hybrid role with field visits throughout the week and work from home on Fridays. The position offers exceptional earning potential. Top performers have earned more than $150,000 annually in commission . Compensation & Benefits $80,000 to $100,000 base salary Uncapped commission Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) 401(k) with company match Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid Time Off Work from home every Friday Long term career growth Responsibilities Visit industrial and commercial facilities throughout Manhattan to identify service and aftermarket opportunities. Develop technical solutions for boiler repairs, upgrades, and maintenance projects. Review mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications to prepare accurate proposals. Support field technicians with same day quotations while onsite. Build long term relationships with new and existing customers. Negotiate service agreements and oversee projects from proposal through completion. Coordinate with service, scheduling, purchasing, and project management teams to ensure successful execution. Identify opportunities for larger capital equipment projects and collaborate with the sales team. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in technical sales, applications engineering, industrial estimating, or service engineering. Experience with industrial boilers, steam systems, combustion equipment, HVAC, or other industrial mechanical equipment is preferred. Ability to read mechanical drawings, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications. Experience with CRM software and Microsoft Office.
