Do you love creating, inspiring others, and connecting with the local maker community? We're looking for a Maker Tools Specialist & Ambassador Program Manager to bring our in-store maker experience to life and help grow a creative community both in and outside of our store. In this role, you'll operate and maintain our maker equipment, create in-store projects that showcase what's possible, and help customers discover and purchase the tools that fit their needs. You'll also manage our Ambassador Program —a group of enthusiastic customers who are part of our rewards program. They teach, demo, or simply share their passion with fellow customers. This role also includes community outreach , where you'll represent our brand at local schools, clubs, and small businesses. You'll run off-site demos, participate in local events, and build meaningful relationships with educators, makers, and entrepreneurs.
What You'll Do Showcase Maker Tools:
Demonstrate 3D printers, laser cutters, engraving tools, and other equipment in-store, helping customers understand what each tool can do.Drive Sales:
Provide expert guidance to help customers—whether hobbyists or professionals—choose the right tools and accessories for their goals.Maintain Equipment:
Perform regular maintenance, calibration, and basic troubleshooting to ensure our demo equipment is always in top shape.Create & Inspire:
Use our equipment to make projects and displays that highlight the creative potential of our tools, sparking ideas and interest among shoppers. Manage theAmbassador Program:
Lead a team of Ambassadors —loyal customers who earn rewards points for teaching classes, doing demos, or chatting with fellow hobbyists in the store.Coordinate & Support Ambassadors:
Handle scheduling, provide basic training, and make sure ambassadors are equipped to support the store's creative atmosphere.Community Outreach:
Represent the store at local schools, clubs, community events, and small businesses. Run off-site demonstrations and build strong, lasting connections with the local maker and entrepreneurial community. Who You Are A Maker atHeart:

Experience teaching, leading workshops, or doing product demos Familiarity with creative or entrepreneurial platforms (like Etsy or Shopify) Comfortable on camera or speaking in front of groups Prior involvement in maker spaces or hobbyist community Education & Experience Minimum high school diploma or GED required. Associate degree preferred. At least 1 year of relevant experience required.Job Type:
