JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Tool and Die Maker to build, repair, and maintain automotive stamping dies in a high‑volume, just‑in‑time manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting abilities, experience in die tryout and part finalization, and a solid background in engineering changes and continuous improvement.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES
Diagnose and resolve press-related tooling issues; implement effective corrective action plans. Set up and operate all manual tool room machines (mills, lathes, grinders, etc.). Build, repair, modify, and maintain stamping dies to meet production requirements. Perform preventative maintenance on tooling and related equipment. Support die tryout activities and assist with part quality validation. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance tool performance and reliability.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Journeyman Tool & Die Maker certification preferred. Minimum 5 years of related experience as a Tool and Die Maker. Strong knowledge of machining processes, tool steels, heat treatment, and welding. Proficient with precision measuring tools (calipers, gauges, micrometers, etc.).
