Toolroom Technician
Job Description
Toolroom Technician Brunner & Lay, a family-owned manufacturer in Springdale, Arkansas, is seeking an experienced Toolroom Technician to support our manufacturing operations. This is a hands-on position responsible for machining, repairing, and maintaining tooling and components used throughout our production processes. The right candidate will have strong machining skills, be comfortable working from prints and specifications, and have experience troubleshooting and repairing tooling in an industrial environment. Responsibilities Manufacture, repair, and modify tooling used in forge and production operations. Set up and operate CNC and manual lathes, mills, grinders, and other machine tools. Machine parts and tooling to required dimensions and tolerances. Inspect completed work using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and manufacturing specifications. Diagnose tooling or equipment issues and make necessary repairs or adjustments. Perform tool grinding, including drills, taps, and other tooling components. Fabricate or modify fixtures, tooling, and components to support production needs. Work with Maintenance, Engineering, and Production to troubleshoot problems and complete repairs. Maintain an organized and safe toolroom and work area. Qualifications At least 2 years of machining, toolroom, or related metalworking experience preferred. Experience operating CNC and manual mills and lathes. Ability to read manufacturing prints and work within specified tolerances. Experience using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring equipment. Tool and die, mold, forge tooling, or industrial repair experience is a plus. CNC programming experience is a plus. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Dependable attendance and ability to work effectively with others. High school diploma or GED required. Technical or machining education is preferred but not required. Starting pay is based on experience.
