Full Job Description Die Corrector/Machinist Shift:

(Nights, Monday-Thursday. Will start off Training on Day shift) The Die Shop apprentice learns and progressively performs the duties of a Die Corrector, with the intent to transition into the Die Corrector position. Duties and Responsibilities Prepare dies for caustic. Sandblast dies after boil out. Pull dies as per shift schedules. Check die surfaces for nicks, washout, and breakage. Perform quality checks for new dies. Monitor nitride. Polish bearings and correct minor bearing defects. Managing caustic tanks and cleaning (titration). Learn the company die system in EPICS. Follow all safety requirements and procedures. Other duties as assigned / duties advance throughout four(4) years in the apprenticeship program.

Qualifications / Competencies

/ Knowledge / Skills Working knowledge of EPICS system. Working knowledge of extrusion process and press tooling. Professional communication skills. Ability to read layouts. Experience using basic tools. Experience with measurement tools. Can perform basic math functions. Detail oriented. Working Environment Exposure to a production environment which includes noise, dust, moving machinery, forklifts, and fluctuations in temperature.
