About the job:
1st shift (5:00am - 1:30pm) and 2nd shift (1:00pm - 9:30pm) Acquires necessary work instructions: works with production control and direct supervision to obtain work instructions and machine assignments Acquires and inspects necessary tooling: verbalizes with tool crib attendant to obtain necessary tooling to produce assigned jobs. Returns completed jobs with updated and complete "Header Set-Up Sheets." Works with tool crib attendant to make the next job tooling package ready to run. Communicates well with tool makers.
Orders materials:
requests required materials from the wire room attendant to produce assigned jobs in a timely manner Machine set up: sets up header using proper tooling and materials to produce quality parts with minimal tool breakage at acceptance piece rates and minimal assistance. Maintains highest productivity levels.
Quality inspections:
produces highest quality parts using inspection tools such as but not limited to micrometers, calipers, SPC programs, comparators, drop gages, go/no-go gages, overlays, eye loops, microscopes, scales, and other necessary equipment. Follows all ISO requirements as instructed in the Omni-Lite Quality Manual. Shows pride in workmanship at all times. Responsible for ensuring manufactured product meets inspection criteria indicated on part drawing Coordinate with quality department to ensure that all product is completed per customer requirements. Coordinate with engineering to capture all header tooling print revisions. Ensure that all documentation (inspection sheets and various logs) are complete and accurate. Adheres to all company procedures and quality requirements At times employees will be asked to perform duties outside their regular duties in the best interest of the company. Including, but not limited to doing inventory, shop clean up, shop improvements or other various tasks as needed. Steel toed boots / safety glasses required
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of cold-heading experience Familiar with Nakashimada progressive die machines Interest in machinery and mechanical ability Computer proficiency Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail, regulations, and safety procedures Competency with basic arithmetic operations. Organizational skills, initiative, and ability to work well independently Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
