As a Model Maker, you will be part of the Engineering Support Department supporting vehicle prototyping and development teams. $55-$60/hour + Benefits What's the Job? Operate and maintain CNC machines such as mills and lathes to produce precision parts based on engineering drawings and specifications. Set up tooling, fixtures, and perform routine calibration to ensure optimal machine performance. Perform fabrication tasks including milling, turning, drilling, welding, and working with composites and additive manufacturing materials. Inspect parts for accuracy, finish, and adherence to blueprints or CAD models, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship. Collaborate with engineers, designers, and fabricators to troubleshoot issues, optimize workflows, and improve prototyping processes. What's Needed? At least 2 years of experience as a Model Maker, Fabricator, Machinist, or CNC Operator in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models (SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.). Ability to use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and CMM equipment for quality control. Basic understanding of GD&T principles and shop safety protocols for material handling and fabrication. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
